Important Registration Reminders for Fall 2008 Classes
* After you receive D-clearances you must still register and settle your bill by the registration deadline, Friday, August 22, 2008. Check the USC Schedule of Classes for deadline dates and web registration information. You are responsible for making sure you are registered for the right classes and section numbers.
* If you do not register before your D-clearance expires the next person on the wait-list will be given clearance.
* You must attend the first meeting of each Cinematic Arts course or you may be replaced by a student on the wait list, even if you are registered.
* Under-enrolled classes will be canceled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2008.
ALL CINEMATIC ARTS “R” COURSES WILL CONVERT TO “D” COURSES THE THIRD WEEK OF CLASS, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2008.
“What happens if I don’t have D-clearances before the registration deadline.”
* If you were wait-listed for a CTPR course, check the SCA Community website regularly to see if you received D-clearance.
* To avoid late registration fees you must register and pay for alternate classes (e.g. USC 100) by the deadline. THE SCHOOL OF CINEMATIC ARTS WILL NOT WAIVE LATE FEES.
* You must attend the first class meeting. If the instructor lets you into the class, get their signature on a blue Change of Program form and return to the appropriate SCA office for D-clearance. Then register for the class.
* After Friday, August 22, 2008, if you add a class in person at the Registration Building --either an “R” class or a “D” class--you will need a Cinematic Arts stamp on your registration form.
* You must first obtain a signature from the instructor of each course you want to add.
* For Production and undergraduate Critical Studies courses, submit your signed Change of Program form to Student Affairs (CTV G130) for the stamp.
* For Writing courses, submit your form to the Writing Division (LUC 301).
* For Animation courses, submit your form to the Animation and Digital Arts Program office (LPB 202A).
* For Interactive Media courses, submit your form to the Interactive Media Division (LUC 310B).
* Take your stamped form to the Registration building to add the class.
Changes in times, days of the week, classrooms, or other class information listed in the Schedule of Classes will be posted outside Student Affairs (CTV G130). You may also check the schedule on the USC Web site.
