"We accepted you into the Stark Program because we felt you already had the “right stuff” to succeed. 

Turman addresses the class of 2007.

And now, hopefully, you are also well prepared and savvy. But you are going into a very competitive environment and I want to stress how important it is that you do not compromise your personal integrity ever. Your choice of stories, how you influence/affect their telling, how you treat others with whom you collaborate will be the measure of your values.

Our honored guest today, Clint Eastwood, exemplifies what I want and expect from you. Subjects with meaningful content, executing them with taste, careful with money, but not stinting on quality. And entertain the folks who pay their money at the box office. So, go out there and do the same. But first, please rise and come forward to receive your degrees."
