Internships

Subject to industry availability, academic performance, and good standing, Peter Stark students are offered paid summer internships between the two years of the program. The completion of one internship of at least eight weeks duration is a requirement.

Internships allow students to work with and observe functioning professionals on a day to day basis. Occasionally these internships evolve into permanent employment, however the purpose of the internship is to enhance student understanding of how industry business is conducted, and hopefully to establish working contacts.

Positions are with major film studios  or networks, independent production companies or agencies, and include the areas of development, marketing, and general. Internships run for a minimum of 8 weeks and the salary received is usually around $300 per week. Students cannot plan on internship money for living expenses during the summer, as some companies employing Stark interns elect to donate payment to the program, and the student receives the funds in the form of tuition credit.
