Tristan Whitman is a director of photography of digital and filmed features, including Junk (2002), SIMPLICITY (2002), Absence, Crossroads, Love Crimes, Quiet Roommate, and Trash. He teaches the motion picture camera and a cinema lab at USC.

Has has been the director of photography for national commercials including Chevrolet, Iomega, Excite.com, Sun Microsystems, Guess, Suzuki and Novell, among others, and is part of a National Geographic expedition for its documentary, Secrets of the Mummies.
