A graduate of the University of East Anglia in the UK, Richard Shepherd worked freelance in film and television production in the UK and Europe while also doing documentary research and travel journalism.

After moving to Los Angeles to attend USC, Shepherd found employment in the industry as a script reader. He has penned screenplays, film reviews and articles and is a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Art-Los Angeles.
