Senior Vice President of Production at Paramount Television, Reid Shane teaches a course on production budgeting at USC. Before joining Paramount in 1997, Shane was the senior vice president of production at Kushner Locke, and began his career at Concorde Pictures as head of production.

While a freelancer, Shane produced three Michael Jackson videos with Propaganda Films, and as an associate producer/unit production manager, he did six episodes of Fallen Angels for Showtime and 26 episodes of Inside Out (1992) for the Playboy Channel.
