Sandra Joy Lee manages the extensive historical collection of studio memos, stills, music scores and production records of USC's Warner Bros. Archives. She has enjoyed a successful and thriving career as an archivist and media librarian beginning with her initial curator position at USC in 1995 at the Moving Image Archive. She then went on to serve as Industrial Light and Magic’s first librarian, archiving over 150,000 items for visual effects.

In 2005 Lee became the database development supervisor at CritterPix Studios, where she played a vital role in helping the production team develop a production pipeline for an unreleased animated feature film.  Her other jobs include being a project archivist at American Zoetrope and preservation manager at the Bay Area Video Coalition.

She is a member and was on the Board of Directors and co-chair of the Archives Committee for the Visual Effects Society. She is also a member of the Association of Moving Image Archivists, the Los Angeles Conservancy, and the Special Libraries Association.

Sandra received a film credit on the 2000 feature, Space Cowboys, for Video Library and NASA Research. She is a graduate of the Film Studies Program at UC Santa Barbara and holds a Masters of Library and Information Science from UCLA. Her areas of interest include cinema technology history, visual effects, film music, and image databases.
