Peter Robinson teaches undergraduate and graduate level production courses at USC. His career began as a theater director of over forty productions in regional theaters in addition to productions directed in Croatia as part of a Fulbright Fellowship.
During the last twenty years, Robinson has concentrated on film/television production as a director and writer. Included among documentary series for PBS broadcast are
Portrait Of A Family (1988),
Something Ventured (1991), and
Lifelines (2001). He also directed
The Man Behind the Machines, a permanent installation in the Beckman museum at CalTech.
As a director/writer of dramatic series, his television work includes numerous episodes of
Crossroads Café (1996),
On Common Ground (1999), and
Madison Heights (2002). In addition to receiving a Cable Ace award, his work has received many awards on the festival circuit. He holds a Ph.D. in Dramatic Art from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
