Allison Melanson runs the school’s First Look Film Festival, which showcases live action and animated films from both undergraduate and graduate students. She also provides students with festival advice and does print traffic for submissions and film prints.

Working in the entertainment industry for over 12 years, Melanson started at Tribune Entertainment in the development department where she concentrated on reality television shows. From there, she moved to the short-lived Richard Simmons’ DreamMaker (1999).  From there, she moved on to Sony Music, finishing her tenure there at their online charity site, “AllStarCharity.”
