As head of the Office of Communications and Public Relations, John Zollinger oversees the production of print and electronic resources for the School of Cinematic Arts. In addition, his office coordinates the school's media and public relations activities within and beyond USC.

Staffed by a writer, graphic arts manager and an assistant, the mission of the communications office includes maintenance of the SCA website content, generating brochures and documentation, creating videos and DVDs, and providing assets and assistance to reporters.

Zollinger is a 2002 graduate of the school's Graduate Screenwriting Program. He also holds an M.A. in Journalism and Public Affairs from the American University in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the USC staff in 1998, he was a reporter and editor for the Agence France-Presse wire service in Washington and an English-language editor for the Xinhua News Service in Beijing, China.
