Lance Gentile is a writer/producer/director and emergency room physician who is a Humanitas nominee and Pen Center West award winner for State of Emergency. He teaches how to write for the hour-long dramatic series at USC.

Gentile's television credits include the HBO feature State of Emergency, ER, Providence and Third Watch. Emmy and Writers Guild awards for ER.
