A distinguished writer/producer, whose projects include many MOWs and mini-series including We Are The Children and Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises, John Furia's advanced screenwriting classes include The Relationship Screenplay and Feature Rewriting.

Furia has written extensively for screen and television, and has been a showrunner for several notable series, including Kung Fu, Gibbsville and The Dirty Dozen.  He has made films in France, Mexico, Kenya, Spain, Canada and Croatia and written theatrical features for Disney, MGM, Columbia and Universal.

The recipient of numerous honors and awards, Furia has served writers and the industry in a wide range of capacities including President of the Writers Guild of America, Founding Vice President of the Humanitas Prize, Board of Governors of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and Board of Directors of the National Captioning Institute.
