Mariano (Mar) Elepano

Production Supervisor

As production supervisor of the John C. Hench Division of Animation & Digital Arts, Mar Elepano manages the physical production requirements and resources of the division, working with other departments within the school , the university and professional outside vendors, as well as supervising the division's student assistants and hourly workers. He also provides tours and information that cover his area to all interested parties.

Elepano spent part of 2001 in Malaysia on a Fulbright Grant and has been teaching at the USC School of Cinematic Arts since 1993. In addition, he has been conducting media workshops for Visual Communications Inc., a Los Angeles-based Asian American community media arts group since 1986, and was an artist-in-residence at various Los Angeles high schools where he worked with students to create media pieces. He held similar workshops at the California Institution for Men in Chino from 1992 to 1994, and USC's neighboring Magnolia Elementary School from 1996 to 1999.
