A distinguished scholar, prolific author, ubiquitous media commentator, consultant, and producer, Dr. Boyd is internationally regarded for his work on race, media, hip hop culture, and sports. His six books include
The Notorious Ph.D.'s Guide to the Super Fly 70s; Young, Black, Rich, and Famous;
The New H.N.I.C.; and
Am I Black Enough For You? Dr. Boyd's articles have appeared in the
New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Chicago Tribune. He is a columnist for ESPN.com's

His television profile includes appearances on
The Today Show, NBC Nightly News, ABC World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, Frontline, CNN and
ESPN, among many others. Dr. Boyd's comments have been featured in the nation's leading newspapers and magazines, including
