Julian Bleecker focuses on emerging technology design and innovation for pervasive media, social networks and mobile entertainment. Among the objectives of his courses is the development of a strong sense of the design challenges and opportunities presented by mobile technologies.

His work has been at SIGGRAPH, Xerox PARC, Ars Electronica, Ubicomp, ACM Advances in Computer Entertainment, the Banff New Media Institute, the Museum of the Moving Image, Boston Cyberarts, Eyebeam Atelier, and the Art Center Nabi (Korea). His dissertation focused on technology, entertainment, and popular culture.
