Anne Beatts is a writer-producer-director who won two Emmys as a writer for the original
Saturday Night Live (1975-1982) and created the CBS series
Square Pegs. She teaches courses on comedy writing at USC.
Beatts executive-produced NBC's long-running hit series,
A Different World (1987) as well as
The Stephanie Miller Show for Disney. Her books as editor and author include
Titters,
Titters 101,
The Mom Book, and
Saturday Night Live. She wrote the Tony-nominated Broadway musical,
Leader of the Pack and has contributed to publications ranging from
Vogue and
Playboy to the
Los Angeles Times.
