Sloan Award Winners Announced

The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation has announced the four winning students for their projects in writing, production and animation for 2005.  Each awardee will receive $15,000;  in animation and production, the award will be used towards the production and completion of their projects.  For writing, the honorees are Michael Tuviera for his script, HARD BOILED COUNTRY, and Royal McGraw for his script, THE VOYAGE OF THE BEAGLE.  Tuviera is a graduate Production student and McGraw is a graduate student in Screenwriting.  The production scholarship has been awarded to Adam Kargman for his proposal, ATROCITY.  He is a first year graduate Production student.  The animation award goes to Pragya Tomar, a second year graduate student Animation for his project, SAAR.  The Sloan Foundation awards honor those students whose proposals reflect a realistic non-stereotypical portrait of science and scientists.
