Pam Douglas' Upcoming Art Show

Twenty-five paintings by Writing Associate Professor Pam Douglas will be featured at the Malibu Garden Center Art Show and is listed on her website.

The show will be on Sunday, August 19 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., at
            6444 Trancas Canyon Road
            Malibu, California 90265

In an artist statement on her website, Douglas describes her work.

“While I work, I focus on design, color and drawing; I don't think about narrative. Yet I'm a story-teller. My dramatic impulse wasn't stifled by my traditional art school training where any work that implied meaning tended to be dismissed as illustration. I knew that feeling and spiritual dimensions could be rendered with sophistication, complexity and subtlety.”
