Critical Studies Adds Faculty
Critical Studies Chair Tara McPherson reports several new faculty who will be teaching this year, including Professor Akira Lippit (who is also part of the Department of Comparative Literature and East Asian Studies). He comes from UC California-Irvine and will teach the avant garde graduate seminar this fall. Here for the year is Visiting Associate Professor Vicki Callahan, whose expertise is in French cinema, new media, and feminism. She is the author of "Zones of Anxiety" and is from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is teaching
History of International Cinema and
Seminar in Film Theory.
