Animation Students Receive Honors

Kathy Smith, the chair of the Division of Animation and Digital Arts reports that three of their students were recently honored. Hsin-Ping Pan’s film, SMALL AND DEEP LOVE STORIES received the Winners Circle Honors in the Animation Magazine Student Short Film Awards.  Two other films received honors as well:  Benjamin Hendrick’s CHANNEL 8 NEWS and Sterling Sheehny’s CUB SCOUTS 2113.  In addition to those awards,  Smith notes that two graduate students presented their work at the Adobe Book each day during the SIGGRAPH conference this summer at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
