In 1970, The Resurrection of Bronco Billy was edited by John Carpenter (who also composed the original music and co-wrote the script) and produced by John Longenecker (who also co-wrote the script).














Robert Zemeckis' student film, A Field of Honor, receives a Special Jury Award at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences' second annual Student Film Awards presentation in 1973.










The Eileen Norris Theater Complex is completed in 1976.










The Peter Stark Producing Program is established in 1979.








In 1983, the USC School of Cinema-Television becomes an independent academic unit.










Abe Sommer, George Lucas, Irvin Kershner, and Steven Spielberg tour the new cinema-television site in 1984.










Built on a plan reminiscent of a 1930s Hollywood studio, the cinema-television complex today comprises five buildings clustered around a garden patio.
