Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival

All eligible films should apply to this festival

Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival is the largest film festival in the world entirely dedicated to short films, and is considered the Cannes of short films. We highly encourage students to submit their films to the festival but ALSO to their market (you need to send an additional DVD for that) because as part of the market, films are available to the hundreds of professionals (buyers, producers and festival programmers) that attend the market each year.

USC also has a presence at the market and Sandrine Cassidy will be there promoting the school and all the titles entered in the market catalogue. (This is a huge deal.) Please contact Sandrine if you have any questions at cassidy@cinema.usc.edu

USC does not ship internationally, but we do one exception each year for this festival. You are welcome to drop off your applications in our office (Attention Eileen Chiao, please specify that it's for Clermont). We will ship regularly throughout the summer and our last shipping will be Oct 1st.

Check with Archives to confirm your production book and film is in order!

Remember it is not a good idea to apply to a festival at the end of their submission process if you can avoid it.

Online submissions are available at www.shortfilmdepot.com
