SCA Students: SCBFF Call for Short Film Entries
Business-Themed Film Festival
The Southern California Business Film Festival (SCBFF) is now accepting entries for their business-themed film festival to be held in February 21, 2010.
Early Bird Submission Deadline: Nov. 13th ($15.00 fee)
Submission Deadline: Dec. 15th ($20.00 fee)
Late Submission Deadline: Jan. 15th ($25.00 fee)
Submit a short film (up to 15 minutes in length) to the SCBFF and you have:
- A chance at over $20,000 in cash and prizes
- IMDB credit for your cast and crew just for submitting through WithoutaBox
- The opportunity to have your film seen by industry professionals on the big screen
Allan Loeb (writer of
21, Things We Lost in the Fire, Wall Street 2, and 8 projects in development) has recently joined the judging panel.
Categories Include: Best Film ($3500 cash prize in 2009), Best Incorporation of Business Elements ($3500 cash prize in 2009), Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Performance by A Male Actor, Best Performance by a Female Actor, Best Costume Design, Best Score/Soundtrack, Best Special Effects/Animation, and many runner-up categories

Guidelines:
- 1-15 minutes in length.
- Business as a major plot element (previous years’ entries have ranged in topic from black market organ donation, the military industrial complex, Jason Bourne Applies for a Job, etc.)
- Film must have been shot after February 2009
- Undergraduate or graduate student films eligible
Business has always played a prominent role in culture, but never has it received as much attention as it does today, with students becoming increasingly interested in the current business climate. The financial decisions of the world are students' lives today. The SCBFF allows for the exploration of this universality through one of the most powerful means of expression - film.
