Application Guidelines
The 15th Annual Directors Guild of America Student Film Awards for African-American, Asian-American, Latino and women directors is accepting submissions for the 2009 award.

This award is designed to honor, encourage and bring attention to outstanding minority and women students in DGA selected film schools. Prizes of $2500 go to the winners in each directorial category.

Acceptable films have been completed in the 2008/2009 academic year (September 2008 through August 2009). Applicants must be the director of the film. Students may submit more than one film. A supervising faculty member must endorse the applicant’s entry form. Go to Application Guidelines to print the official submission guidelines and application.
   

Entry deadline: All submissions must be received at the Directors Guild National office in Los Angeles by 6:00 P.M., Friday, October 9, 2009.

Prize-winners will be notified by Wednesday, October 21, 2009. The Awards ceremonies will take place at DGA headquarters in Hollywood and New York.
