2010 First Look

Rules & Regulations Are Available

The 2010 First Look Rules & Regulations are now available. 

Pick up an application outside of SCA 235 or go online to SCA Community. Under Resources, look for Festivals & Distribution then click on First Look Submissions Guidelines.

Films are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Submissions will be accepted until the 480 minutes film festival total running time is reached. Only three films will be wait listed.

Submissions close:
12:00 Noon
Friday
October 2, 2009
If submissions close earlier than this deadline, the 480 minute quota has been met.

To start preparing for First Look, check that your production book in the school archives is complete, with all releases - music and actors. Archives will also need a screener (DVD) to look at your film.

Please note:
Only films with a 2008 copyright or later will be accepted.
Only films made for the following classes are eligible:
474, 479/486, 480, 484, 546, 547, 581, 582, 586, 587, 592, 594A and 800.

If you want to be on the First Look email list please email Eileen Chiao at echiao@cinema.usc.edu the following:

• Your name
• Film Title
• Copyright year
• Email address
• Contact Phone number
• Total Running Time of the film (including credits)
• Production or Class number of the film
