Student Boman Gets Greenlighted
M.F.A. Production student Steve Boman found himself in the right place at the right time as a member of Writing’s Pitch class, taught by SCA alum Trey Callaway (producer,
CSI: NY). Boman developed the television idea called
Three Rivers. CBS executive Ted Gold was present in the class when Boman pitched it. After optioning the idea, CBS ordered a script then the a pilot.
The show will focus on physicians who perform organ transplants at a fictional center in Pittsburgh, Boman said. It is reported that Boman is a former Chicago journalist who now commutes between Los Angeles and Minnesota where his wife is a pediatrician.
