Production associate professor Norman Hollyn has been invited to be a juror on an online animation contest, Mass Animation, which is available on Facebook. Shots are rated by the entire group, but also selected by a panel of jurors.

Hollyn also presented a second cut of a documentary, Rivers, and shared a panel with the other filmmakers, at the CILECT Conference in Beijing, China in November.  The film is a meditation on how people interact with five rivers across the world: the Amazon, Danube, Ganges, Rio Grande, and the Mississippi. It was filmed by six different crews for their own individual documentaries.

Hollyn reports that the most exciting news is that his new book, The Lean Forward Moment: Create Compelling Stories for Film, TV, and the Web is coming out in December. It will; be available all over, including Amazon.
