And First Prize Goes to... Hsin-I Tseng

Alum Wins Academy qualifying festival

Animation alum Hsin-I Tseng’s thesis film, Dear Fatty, was awarded first prize in the Adult Jury Prize for Animated Short Film or Video at the recent Chicago International Film Festival. 3D film factory is going to release the film in Stereoscopic 3D. 

At the same festival, alum Alyssa Sherwood and her collaborator received the Poetry Foundation Poetry Prize for their film, Migrations. 

Hsin-I Tseng said the festival is recognized by the Motion Picture Academy as an Academy qualifying festival.  She also reports that he worked with several others on the Madagascar 2 end credits.
