Anne Beatts Interviewed

Writing adjunct Anne Beatts was interviewed on Public Radio International's
"To the Best of Our Knowledge" about sketch comedy. 

Beatts is a pioneering comedy writer who won an Emmy Award for her work on
"Saturday Night Live," the story stated.

"I do think that the consciousness of 'ŒSNL' changed comedy
quite a bit," Beatts said. There are disturbing legacies in terms of
difficulties faced by female comedians and the commercialization of the
form, she added. "I liked it better when it was done by amateurs."
