Hench-DADA Did Art Walk
Presented Experimental Animation
On June 12, in conjunction with Art Walk, Hench-DADA presented Experimental
Animation, a one-night show curated by adjunct faculty members Mike
Patterson and Candace Reckinger of student works created during their spring
classes.
Large-scale animations were projected onto interior gallery walls
and rear projected in three storefront windows. Included was Hench-DADA
graduate student Laura Yilmaz' "Cubic Meter," Gabriel Soto Campa's
"Monster," and Steven Day's live dance performance/animation projection,
"IAMBR."
Upcoming exhibitions include Brigade Parade: Animated Experiments
in Non-Theatrical Socialization, installations and projections from adjunct
faculty Larissa Bank's Experimental Animation class on July 10, opening
6-10pm, and on August 14, selected student works from both Interactive
Media and Hench-DADA.
Ongoing window rear projections will continue to be screened nightly
throughout the summer from 8pm - 12 midnight.
