SCA Students Win Awards
At 35th Student Academy Awards & BAFTA/ LA Student Film Awards
Four films produced by current SCA students and recent graduates walked away with major awards at the recent 35th annual Student Academy Awards.
A Day's Work, written and directed by Rajeev Dassani received the Gold Award for Narrative Films.
Viola: The Traveling Rooms of a Little Giant, directed and animated by Shih-Ting Hung received the Gold Award for Alternative
films.
If A Body Meet A Body , directed by Brian Davis, received the Bronze Award in Documentary.
Pitstop, written and directed by Melanie Mcgraw, received the Student Academy Award in Narrative film.

Pitstop was the first place winner, and
The Red Ace Cola Project was the runner-up. Susan Metzger was the writer/director of the film; the producers were Peter Podgursky and Donna Thorland; Charles DeRosa did the cinematography; Shona Kulkarni was the editor and Katherine Tincher was the production designer.
At the recent Jackson Hole Film Festival,
Clear Cut, Simple took the Best Short in the student category. The director was Vineet Dewan; written by Jason Delmarty; producers were John Blair and Jason Stone; cinematography by Rob Connolly and John Harrison; production sound and sound design by Tim Carr and Elizabeth Johnson; production designers were Rachel Robb Kondrath and Michael Kurz and the editors were Michael Swingler and Jay Visit.
