Christopher Chomyn Lectures
For Disney
Following the success of his presentation to Disney's Feature Animators last year, Production senior lecturer Christopher Chomyn was asked to return and offer a two part lecture as part of their "training and enrichment program."
This year's topic was "Lighting Techniques in Film," though Chris began by commenting, "No discussion of lighting can begin without first discussing the story arc, the characters, camera placement, lens selection and composition." From there a lively presentation and discussion followed.
Chris started by discussing clips from films that have influenced him and concluded by discussing some of his own work, detailing both the theory and pragmatic decisions that shaped the final creation of his images.
