Library Receives New Archives
From producer/ writer/ director Walter Doniger
Producer/ writer/ director Walter Doniger, called the creative force behind numerous television series including
Marcus Welby, M.D.,
Ellery Queen, and
Night Gallery, has donated his personal archives of film and television memorabilia to the school.
It will be housed in the Cinematic Arts Library and will be open to scholars, faculty, researchers, and students. In placing his archives alongside of those from David Wolper, Robert Wise and Frank Sinatra, Doniger said, “It is an honor to be placed in such talented company.” Library director Steve Hanson said that “If the researcher wants to find out how to become a successful television director, this is the collection to look at...” because of Doniger’s meticulous preparation.
