4 SCA Alums Among 2008 Nominees

The following four SCA alums have been named as winners for the 35th Annual Student Academy Awards.  There is one alum in each of the four categories.

Alternative:              Viola: The Traveling Rooms of a Little Giant
                                  Shih-Ting Hung, M.F.A., 2007 in Film Video & Competition Animation Minor

Animation:               The Gloaming
                                 Andrew Huang, B.A., 2007 minor in Fine Arts Studio

Documentary:          If a Body Meet a Body
                                 Brian Davis, M.F.A. 2008 in Production

Narrative:                Pitstop
                                Melanie McGraw, M.F.A. 2007 in Production

There were a total of 32 finalists competing from 20 colleges and universities for medals and cash prizes of gold - $5,000, silver - $3,000, and bronze - $2,000.  The week long industry related activities will culminate with the awards ceremony on June 7 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
