Iraqi Documentary Series Nominated for Webby Awards
Hometown Baghdad, produced by USC production student Fady Hadid, has been nominated for four Webby Awards for Best Reality, Editing, Public Service and Activism and News and Politics: Series.
Also nominated for the People's Voice Awards, the series currently features 38 short, MTV-style videos following the story of three young Iraqis, struggling to survive amidst the Iraq War. Produced with Chat the Planet, a global youth dialogue company, the series has garnered acclaim from media outlets including
Salon, CNN and the Los Angeles Times.
