Tara McPherson Lectures

In Lund, Sweden

Critical Studies associate professor Tara McPherson has given a number of invited lectures in the past few weeks.  She was the opening keynote at Lund University's "Harnessing Technology for Learning – University and School Partnerships," in Lund, Sweden, where she also participated in a panel on "New Directions in Evaluation."  The event was sponsored by the Wallenberg Foundation. 

While in Sweden, she also delivered a plenary lecture entitled "Dynamic Vernaculars: Emergent Digital Forms in Contemporary Scholarship" at the "Contextualizing and Visualizing Dynamics in Digital Archives" conference in Umea, Sweden, co-financed by the European Commission. 

She presented a virtual lecture at the NERCOMP event, "Cyberinfrastructure and The Liberal Arts: Institutions and the Future of Discipline-Based Research." 

Finally, she was the closing keynote speaker at the Coalition of Network Information's Spring 2008 Task Force Meeting in Minneapolis where she discussed the future of digital scholarship. The opening keynote at the event was delivered by Dan Atkins, currently head of the NSF Office of Cyberinfrastructure.
