Lisa Leeman News
A busy March for her!
Production adjunct Lisa Leeman says it was a busy March. She spoke on a panel at the South Asian Studies Conference at Claremont College, where her topic was whether biography on film can be an agent of social change.
That week Lisa also moderated a panel for Film Independent about documentary filmmaking. The full house listened to a discussion of documentary ethics by Lisa and panelists Haskell Wexler (Who Needs Sleep), Joan Churchill (Aileen: Life & Death of a Serial Killer), Jessica Yu (Protagonist), Stacy Peralta (Dogtown & Z-Boyz; Made in America), and Marina Zenovich (Roman Polanski: Wanted & Desired).
To top off March, Lisa also moderated a roundtable of composers who spoke about scoring for documentary, which she will edit into an article for the International Documentary Association.
Lisa's last directorial feature, the documentry
Out of Faith, opened theatrically in Chicago; she's now prepping for the next round of shoots for her new doc,
One Lucky Elephant, and the documentry she is producing,
Crazy Wisdom, just wrapped another shoot with SCA adjunct Johanna Demetrakas directing.
