Two films screened
Production Professor Jeremy Kagan was invited to participate in the Reel Politics ONFILM Festival in Norfolk Virginia where they screened two of his films on March 30 -
Conspiracty: The Trial of the Chicago 8 which was made for HBO and won the Cable Ace Award for best dramatic movie as an experimental mix of narrative and documentary about this controversial 1969 trial concerning the so-called riots at the Chicago Democratic National Convention where hundreds of young people where beaten by the police for demonstrating against the then unpopular Vietnam war.
They also screened
Dissent from his series last year of Freedom Files and this film revealed that much hasn't changed with the suppression of demonstrators against the Iraq war at both national conventions in 2004.
