Feature on Canadian radio

Professor of Comparative Literature, East Asian Languages and Cultures, and Critical Studies Akira Mizuta Lippit was featured in an hour-long interview on Canadian radio about his work. 

The program, “Animal Voices,” was broadcast February 12 on CIUT 89.5 FM (Toronto).  Lippit’s chapter, “The Only Other Apparatus of Film (A Few Fantasies About Différance, Démontage, and Revision in Experimental Film and Video),” was published in an anthology, Derrida, Deleuze, Psychoanalysis, ed. Gabriele Schwab (Columbia University Press, 2007). 

He participated in a round-table on the subject of the posthuman, which was published in Japanese in the journal Hyosho (Representation).  He delivered a lecture, “The Other Materialities of Film,” on the subject of material reality in cinema at Tokyo University in February.
