Production senior lecturer, Christopher Chomyn discusses his use of Super 16mm film for the feature film,

American Primitive is a period picture set in 1973. The screenplay was co-written by USC Cinema alumna, Gwen Wynne and senior lecturer Mary-Beth Fielder. The film was produced by Wynne, Adam Rosen and USC Screenwriting adjunct James Egan, and is expected to be completed later this year. The filmmakers shot the majority of
American Primitive on location in the towns of Dennis and Hyannis on Cape Cod, MA, with a few scenes photographed in Pasadena.
