Co-Founder of the Echo Park Film Center

Cinema engineer Kenneth Fountain has been busy as the co-founder/technical director of the Echo Park Film Center, a non profit that teaches intercity kids filmmaking for free. 

They just completed, and in December, screened their film produced by the last group of classes, This is the LA River at Farmlab/Under Spring.  The Center had invited twenty neighborhood youth between the ages of 14 and 19 to explore the River through the medium of 16mm film and, over a 12-week period, create a unique picture of the waterway’s complex past, present and future.

The EPFC also hosted The Attack of the 50 Foot Reels program at the Egyptian Theater in November.
