Brian Hamilton '02

CS Graduate A Navy Lieutenant

Navy Lieutenant Brian Hamilton, a 2002 Critical Studies graduate is currently serving a year tour of duty in the Baghdad area of Iraq on a special assignment as a company commander for an Army Civil Affairs Brigade. Hamilton received his commission from the Naval ROTC program at USC and was also a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. 

Prior to his Iraq assignment LT Hamilton spent six months at Fort Bragg, NC to become Civil Affairs certified. This is LT Hamilton’s third tour into the Iraqi region.  In 2005 / 2006 LT Hamilton spent four months in Pakistan coordinating Earthquake relief.  LT Hamilton’s Navy assignments include Surface Officers Basic Course at Newport, RI; USS Normandy (CG-60) – Norfolk, VA; USS Tarawa (LHA-1) as part of Expeditionary Strike Group One, and the Navy Afloat Training Command both located in San Diego, CA.  LT Hamilton is a 1998 graduate of John Marshall High School, San Antonio, TX and is the son of retired Army Lieutenant Colonel James and Jennifer Hamilton, San Antonio, TX.
