IMD Collaboration

"MobZombies" Game

A collaboration amongst Interactive Media Division assistant professor Julian Bleecker, associate professor Mark Bolas and Research associate professor Perry Hoberman along with IMD graduates Will Carter (IMD 2005) and Aaron Meyers (IMD 2006) had a paper on their project "MobZombies" accepted at the International Symposium of  Wearable Computing annual conference in Boston.

MobZombies is a combination wearable sensor device and mobile game with a unique user interface. The game control requires physical, embodied movement that couples the wearable sensor to the game play.  By walking or running and turning the wearable sensor controls the action within the game as if the person playing were a human joystick.  Jessica Rosenblatt (IMD 2006) presented the paper at the conference.
