A Cine Tech Seminar, organized at the beginning of the month by cinematographer and Production senior lecturer Chris Chomyn, helped students jump start the semester by teaching or reviewing skills needed for their productions. The seminar was attended by over 40 graduate and undergraduate students.
Several faculty members participated in the instruction, including Production associate professor Linda Brown, adjunct Rob Kositchek, senior lecturer Earl Rath and lecturer John Tarver. In addition, the faculty were helped by student assistants Lior Chefetz, Sarah Takahashi, Jay Visit and Rebecca Flores.
Students rotated through sessions covering various technical aspects of the filmmaking craft. Topics covered included the set practices of the camera assistant, gaffer, key grip and dolly grip.
