Interactive Media faculty members Steve Anderson and Anne Balsamo and IML Associate Director Holly Willis were awarded a $35,000 grant to develop a virtual campus for the School of Cinematic Arts using the 3-D multi-user virtual environment Second Life.

The grant is from the USC Provost's Technology Enhanced Learning Seed Grant Initiative and will provide instructional spaces for distributed learning in SCA as well as screening facilities and virtual project development spaces open to the entire university.
