Calendar set for AUGUST

Howard A. Rodman script set to shoot

Josh Harnett will star in August with a script by Howard A. Rodman.

Writing Division chair Howard A. Rodman's original screenplay, August, will film in New York City starting
April 16. It's the story of two brothers who found a dotcom startup in the heady days of Silicon Alley. The film watches a handful of young millionaires-on-paper as the world around them collapses around their ankles. It stars Josh Hartnett, and features, among others, Rip Torn and David Bowie. 

It is Rodman's second produced feature within the past year. The other, Savage Grace, starring Julianne Moore, was lensed last summer in Spain, and is currently in postproduction. Both are low-budget independent features. Rodman founded and co-chairs the Writers Guild's independent film writer's caucus.
